Aekta Kapoor is the founder and editor of eShe magazine and the nonprofit peacebuilding platform South Asia Union. After a long career as a lifestyle and fashion journalist working in media groups such as Outlook, India Today and Dainik Bhaskar, Aekta now focuses on gender equality, social justice and peacebuilding through her writing and initiatives. She was mentor for Industry Disruptor 2020 by WeEmpowerAsia, UN Women, in India and Europe, and for the UN Investor Consortium for Women Entrepreneurs 2020 by India’s NITI Aayog and UNDP. She is a founding member of the Southasia Peace Action Network.
