Joined Bartaman Patrika as a Reporter in 1984 and continues to serve this Paper in a senior editorial position. Enjoy a wide network of contacts in the political, cultural, intellectual and social fields. Received the Best Woman Journalist Award in 2012 from Pracheen Kala Kendra. Addressed seminars on “Problems of Woman Journalism” / “Prevention of Childhood Disabilities”/ “Women and the Judiciary.” Compiled a book on Bengal’s legendary singer (Late) Ram Kumar Chattopadhyay and ran a most admired column dealing with physically challenged children and the everyday struggle of those families.
