Pamela Philipose, who began with The Times of India, is presently Public Editor, with The Wire, a Delhi based news portal. She has worked in different capacities in The Times of India, The Sunday Observer, Down to Earth and The Indian Express, where she was the senior associate editor and edit page editor. She was also director and editor-in-chief with Women’s Feature Service. Her book, ‘Media’s Shifting Terrain Five Years That Transformed the Way India Communicates’, published by Orient BlackSwan, has just come out. She is the first president of SAWM India.
