SWATI BHATTACHARJEE, General Secretary, SAWM India, is Senior Assistant Editor, Ananda Bazar Patrika. The focus of her journalism is poverty allevation. She has a PhD from TISS, Mumbai. She is an alumni of the East-West Centre, Hawaii (2006) and received the Fulbright-Nehru fellowship (2010-11), for which she was in MIT, Cambridge, USA. She has written several books, and edited "A Unique Crime: Understanding Rape in India," (Gangchil, 2008). Swati is based in Kolkata. Her stories are in the ABP website.
