TERESA REHMAN, Treasurer, SAWM India, is founder-editor of The Thumb Print, a web magazine. Her area of work and interest lies in the under-reported and conflict-torn Northeast India. She has worked with India Today, The Telegraph and Tehelka. Her debut book is ‘The Mothers of Manipur: Twelve women who made history” (Zubaan Books). She won the WASH media award 2010 , Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Award for Reporting from J&K & Northeast (Print) for 2008-09 and 2009-2010, Sanskriti Award for Excellence in Journalism 2009, Laadli Media Award 2010-11 and the 7th Sarojini Naidu Prize for best reporting on women and Panchayati Raj 2007 by the Hunger Project. Teresa is based in Assam.
